Dr. Ali Krisht
St. Vincent: Director of Arkansas Neuroscience Institute

A Nigeria native with a Lebanese background, Dr. Ali Krisht made his way to Arkansas to pursue his passion of neuroscience. After receiving his neurosurgical training from Emory University in Atlanta 16 years ago, Krisht began working at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Recently he transitioned to St. Vincent to establish the Arkansas Neuroscience Institute.

What’s the goal of the institute? That anyone in the world with a neurological problem will make it their first choice or option for treatment. We’ve assembled a talented and qualified team of neurosurgeons that cover all aspects of neurosurgery, but our focus is on complex brain surgery that includes the treatment of aneurysms and brain tumors.

What do you think St. Vincent brings to the central Arkansas community? The leadership group at St. Vincent is really aspiring for a very high level of excellence. They are doing exactly what needs to be done to establish a system primarily focused on providing quality patient care and the opportunity for physicians to establish programs with state-of-the-art capabilities.
