Not many cities can claim resident interior designers who have decorated the White House. Little Rock can. When native son President Bill Clinton moved to Washington, D.C., Kaki Hockersmith went to work redecorating the most recognized home in America. Our advice? Make your first stop the design district in Little Rock. You’ll find it in the Riverdale area north of Cantrell Road between the warehouses just past the Dillard’s headquarters and the bottom of Cantrell Hill. More than 30 showrooms feature design elements of every type, from timeless antiques to contemporary pieces; flowers and garden appointments to kitchen and bath improvements; flooring to fabric, and frames to lamps. Several of the storefronts in the district also offer interior design services, just in case you change your mind.
